Aloo Bread Toast

Potato and bread goes hand in hand. We have great confusion , what to prepare for evening tiffin. When the members of family returns from outside they expect different recipes. I am sure that this recipe will attract everyone from kids to adults. Even you can have this for your breakfast also.







Ingredients:

Bread slices - 4
Boiled potato - 3
Onion - 1 (chopped)
Tomato ketshup - 3 tbsp
Curry leaves - 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp (adjust to your spice level)
Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Butter / Ghee - 2 tbsp

Method:



Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry onions. When onion gets started to fry, add chilli powder, cumin powder and garam masala and saute for a minute. Add coriander and curry leaves and saute for 30 seconds. Switch off the stove.




Let the masala to get cool. Then add to the boiled and mashed potato. Mix all together.




Cut the bread slices diagonally. Apply tomato ketchup generously on oneside. Stuff the potato masala over the ketchup.

Heat the tava, apply little butter or ghee and toast the bread side. After 2 minutes, flip the bread and toast on stuffing side. Gently press the bread and leave for 2 minutes. 


Serve hot with ketchup.




Note:

  • The spice can be adjusted to your taste.
  • The stuffing can be kept in refrigerator for 2-3 days.
