Rava Ladoo


      Rava ladoo is a famous south Indian sweet. It is easy to prepare and is prepared either using milk or ghee. Here, I had given the recipe with milk.
       



Ingredients:
Sooji / Rava 1 Cup
Sugar 3/4 Cup
Milk 1/3 Cup (warm)
Cashewnuts and Almonds 3 tbsp
Raisins 1 tbsp
Ghee 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder 1/4 tsp
    
Method:


       Heat a tbsp of ghee, fry nuts and raisins till raisin plopsup. Keep it separately. In same pan, add remaining ghee and roast rava till it gets warm. Switch off the stove and let it cool.
       Grind sugar and rava separately into fine powder.


       In a bowl, add ground rava, sugar powder, cardamom powder and fried nuts. Add milk little by little and mix well. Add entire milk.


       In this stage, it will sticky. After 10 minutes, make them as small lemon size ladoo's and arrange them in a plate or paper. After 30 mins, once again hape the ladoo's into round balls  (by the time milk is fully absorbed by rava). Consume within 2-3 days.


Note:

  • As milk is used, consume in maximum of 3 days.
  • Instead of milk, ghee can also been used. In this case, you can store for 7-10 days in air tight container.
