Another easy recipe with bread is here. It can be had as breakfast or evening tiffin and you can prepare within 10 minutes. It is almost like berad upma but has little variation. In my college days I learned from my sister and used to prepare frequently now-a-days.
Ingredients | |
Onion | 1 sliced |
Red Chillies | 4 |
Bread Slices | 6 |
Curry leaves | 1 string |
Mustard seeds | 1 tsp |
Gram Dal | 1 tbsp |
Urad dhal | 1 tbsp |
Oil | 1 tbsp |
Method:
Crumble the bread slices in a vessel. In quater cup of water add 1 tsp of salt and mix well. Sprinkle this salt water to the crumbled bread. (Bread should not becomes mashy).
Heat oil in a saute pan and allow mustard seeds to splutter. Add gram dhal and urad dhal and saute till golden brown. Add onions, red chillies and curry leaves and saute till onion gets cooked. Add the bread crumbs to till and reduces the flame to medium-low and give continuous stir for 5 minutes. Serve hot.
