Samosa Wheels / Bites

Samosa bites / samosa wheels is a spicy evening snacks which is loved by everyone as it is stuffed with potato and peas. It is cripsy from outside and soft in center. You can serve with tomato ketchup which is the best combination than anyother sidedishes. It is easy to prepare and makes upto 30-35 pieces.








Dough:

Maida / All purpose flour - 1 cup
Rava / Sooji - 2tbsp
Salt.

Stuffing:

Boiled Potato - 3 large or 4 medium
Boiled Peas - 1/2 cup
Dry mango powder (Amchoor powder) - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies - 2 (chopped)
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Salt

Method:

Mix maida, sooji and salt in a bowl and make a firm dough. Keep aside for 20 minutes.


In another bowl mix all the items under stuffing. In another small cup, add 4 tbsp of rice flour or maida and little amount of water. Make a thick paste. Split the dough into two equal parts.


Dust one part of the dough and roll them in rectangular form of less than 1/4 inch thickness.



Stuff the potato peas masala and start rolling from one side. Roll firmly and gently.


At the end, apply little water and roll the entire roll for 2-3 times, so that it will get more gripness.


Cut the stuffed roll into 1/2 inch thickness. Press bothsides gently so that the stuffing won't comeout.


Dip the bites into rice flour mixture and deep fry the bites. Drain the excess oil.



Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
