Every day we are preparig dosa, idli or rotis for our breakfast or dinner. We used to get bored with similar dishes and
we have a thought that gram flour is mainly used for making sweets and savories only. But I had tried this besan ( gram flour )dosa. It is not too cripsy nor too soft. Everyone will surely like the taste.
Ingredients:
Gram Flour (Besan ) - 1 cup
Sooji (Rava) - 2 tbsp
Rice flour - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Ajwain (Omam) - 1/4 tsp
Yogurt - 1/4 cup
Water - 1-11/2 cup
Green chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves - 3 strings (finely chopped)
Spring Onions - 3 stalks (optional)
Salt - to taste.
Method:
- Mix gram flour, rava, green chillies, rice flour, ajwain, turmeric powder, coriander leaves and necessary amount of salt in a bowl.
- Then add curd and water and mix without any lumps.
- Finally add spring onions at the time of making dosa.
- Prepare the dosa's little thicker in medium flame as gram flour will take little time to get cooked.
Note:
1. You can use a pinch of baking soda before you prepare dosa.
2. Flip and cook on both sides till you find golden brown colour.
3. Use only low medium heat to get cooked in right stage.
